Who are we?

Hello. The name’s Norman. Jack Norman.
There’s a joke here about “007” and “00” flour, but for the life of me I can’t work it out… Anyway, I’m Jack, and I bloody love pizza. For me, it’s the perfect combination of life’s greatest things: bread, tomato and cheese. A taste sensation.
I learned the craft of pizza at Anello Pizzeria, working alongside the founders of Rudy’s. That’s where I got really obsessive about dough, about the oven, about doing things properly. I wanted to bring that same standard of restaurant-quality pizza to a field, or a barn, or a car park. Hello Norman’s Wood Fired Pizza.
We’re based up in the pennine hills of Yorkshire, where we also grow herbs, salad leaves and greens in a kitchen garden – a lot of which end up on the pizzas. It’s a nice way to stay connected to what we’re cooking. My two year old is self-appointed head taste tester. She’s got very high standards.
I’ve been doing events for a long time now – weddings, birthdays, corporate dos, all sorts. Every event’s different, but the core principles are the same: turn up early, get set up properly, have a coffee(or a beer) and keep the pizza coming until everyone’s full. It really is the best job.
See you soon,
Jack
